Maple Cranberry Chai is a beautiful combination of organic Red Rooibos Tea with cranberries coated with maple syrup and maple nuggets. The maple nuggets are sourced from Maples Sugar Shack, Squamish, BC. They handcraft these nuggets in small batches. This organic herbal tea is a ‘must have’ during the holiday season and makes a perfect cup of afternoon tea.
This tea is best had with yacon root syrup, maple syrup or vanilla ice- cream. It is like “tea candy” in a healthy kind of way! You can pick out the cranberries after steeping the tea and eat them. I love the sweetness that the nuggets bring to this tea. In all honesty, that is probably enough sweetness.
Enjoy this delicious deep red tea with low carb keto cookies, crepes or any other afternoon snack of your choice. Cranberries are known to lower the risk of urinary tract infections and improve digestion. Experience the sweetness of maple and the tartness of cranberries blended together in a tea with a cup of my Maple Cranberry Chai.
An interesting fact about Rooibos Tea:
The narrow belt along the West Coast of South Africa is the only place in the world where Rooibos tea grows. It is also one of the world’s six Plant Kingdoms. The Mediterranean climate along with ideal temperatures and adequate rainfall and sunshine makes it favourable for Rooibos to be cultivated. Besides this, the sandy slopes and pleasant valleys of the Cedarberg Mountain Range also provide the perfect habitat for Rooibos cultivation.

Due to a shortage of one ingredient, I cannot blend this tea until I can find a new source.
