This tea is certified and grown in Assam, India. It is Trudy Ann’s own personal favourite choice of black tea. The tea comes direct from the estate after the harvest so it is always fresh. It is strong, bold and yet smooth & very fragrant. You can taste the tea. It took us 20 years to find the perfect tea and this one is it. Add fresh ginger, mint or Trudy Ann’s Chai Spices or Digestive Fennel Masala to add some zip to this tea. Great for making Kombucha.

Assam Black Tea is grown and harvested in the tea estates of Assam, located in northeast India. This area is the largest tea-growing region in the world producing some of the finest teas. This Organic Assam tea has a rich taste and a strong bold aroma with a malty flavour. Assam Black Tea gives a full-bodied, reddish bright brew and is perfect to have at any time of the day. The addition of milk will enhance the flavours of Assam Chai making it more subtle. Teas that are grown at high altitude are known to be highly aromatic and may be rich in antioxidants. You can add spices or mint leaves to this Assam Black Tea for a slight twist in flavour. This particular cut of black is great for making Kombucha. Treat your taste buds with a hot cup of my Assam Black Tea, it’s perfect to perk up your mornings.

This is an incredibly delicious tea! I first discovered it at Trudy Ann’s stall in Vancouver’s West End Farmer’s Market and haven’t looked back. Great flavour. I will continue to buy it for as long as Trudy Ann sells it! :)
