Cauliflower Bell Pepper Salad
I have been doing countless hours of recipe development to help clients struggling with all kinds of health issues, be it cancer, diabetes, arthritis, chronic fatigue, eczema, depression and more. I know that food heals and this recipe is packed with good healing ingredients. The mediterranean diet uses a lot of bulger wheat in their dishes. I used raw cauliflower with parsley and other toxin removing herbs and ingredients. Coriander and Cumin (my Dhana Jeera) are among the top herbs / spices for reducing toxicity. No wonder it is in every Indian dish (and Thai food) along with turmeric. In India, we often drink whey with cumin and salt for digestive issues. It is one of my favourite drinks.
My family (my best critics), were wowed by the flavour of this recipe. It’s one of those dishes you can prepare in advance and take it with you to work or simply enjoy anytime. I have this along with my bone broth.

Sally Fallon Morell Nourishing Traditions
Ingredients (Makes 4 cups)
1/2 Cauliflower (grated)
1 red bell pepper (finely chopped)
1 bunch parsley (coarsely chopped)
1 bunch cilantro (coarsely chopped)
2 scallions (finely sliced)
1/2 red onion (finely sliced)
2 cloves garlic (coarsely chopped)
1 tsp turmeric (grated)
1 tsp pepper (or Garam Masala)
1 1/2 tsp Coriander – Cumin *(Trudy Ann’s Dhana Jeera)
1/2 cup sunflower seeds (soaked)
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 tsp to 1/2 tsp red pepper or chille powder
Grated lemon zest from 1 lemon
1/2 lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil (extra virgin)
Pink salt to taste
(Optional: Add raw sesame oil or coconut oil to your salad before eating along with 1 to 2 tsps flax seeds, freshly ground. Garnish with fresh cherry tomatoes)
*NOTE: (Trudy Ann’s Dhana Jeera) If you do not have this ingredients, add 1 tsp coriander powder and 1/2 tsp cumin powder, preferably organic and roasted a few minutes on a pan.
Add all the ingredients in a glass bowl and mix well. Drizzle more olive oil on top if need be. Transfer to the fridge.
