This Turmeric Ginger Tonic tea is what I make for my family when they are sick. It is a great remedy. It is what my mother prepared for me when I was sick. It is soothing for a sore throat. Add some honey and lemon juice before drinking. This tea has been selling off the shelves.


Origin: Organic Tulsi (holy basil) widely grown in India as a medicinal plant and drunk as a herbal tea. Contains no caffeine.

Ingredients: Certified organic Tulsi (holy basil), fair trade organic ginger, organic licorice, fair trade organic turmeric

Preparation: Add 2 grams (1 teaspoon) of tea to 1 C. hot water. Steep for 5 -15 mins, strain and enjoy.

Stove Stove Preparation: Put 1 C. water in pot. Bring to a boil. Add 1 teaspoons of tea. Gently simmer for 5 -15 mins. Strain & serve. Add lemon juice and honey to taste.

Throat Remedy: After pouring your cup of tea, save the tea leaves. Put 1 C. water in pot. If desired add another 1/2 teaspoon of tea or a couple slices of  fresh ginger & turmeric. Gently simmer for 5 minutes. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt. Strain & pour into a cup. Add some cool water so it is not boiling hot. Do throat gargles several times a day. For me, this always helps with an achy throat.

    #notjustforthroats !! #believeitornot I use this tea for #pain it helps #jointpain and & my #headaches and it’s much easier to make than golden milk. When my back is so sore and I can’t stir at least I can make some warm turmeric tonic tea. I found Trudy Ann aka my “Chai Lady” at the #farmersmarket but you can find her tea at Donald’s market too or her website :)
    Seriously thank you @trudyannschai for making this great natural source for pain !

      Thanks for this review! I started taking 2 Cups a day for my inflammation and it seems to work better for my pain management than any medication I was on. I usually take 1 cup in the morning and 1 at night. Thank you so much for sharing.

    My favorite tea! I found Trudy Ann at the Northwest Tea Festival (2018). I bought a bag of this after trying a sample, and was hooked. After only a month, I’m almost out and have been struggling to find anything similar down here in Seattle. The flavor is rich and sweet, easy to make, and makes me feel better whenever I feel a cold starts coming. Highly recommend!
